Phase 3 Drilling Program

The Step Aside Lithium Project is located 35km from Harare (and approximately 8km north of the Arcadia Lithium Mine Project). It comprises approximately 100 hectares of claim within the Harare Greenstone Belt.

The prospectivity of this area was confirmed by positive historical regional stream and soil sample geochemistry results, with recent infill work validating potential extensions. The lithium prospectivity is centred on a suite of mineralised pegmatites that geologically mapped to intrude and crosscut a meta-dolerite host rock. The pegmatites run parallel to each other in a north-south orientation, with the dominant lithium mineralisation being spodumene.

The company has completed two phases of mixed RC and diamond drilling programs which have generated multiple high-grade lithium intersections within three separate pegmatites at Step Aside.

Key drilling results to date include:

  • 7.4m @ 1.28% Li2O from 43.6m (Pegmatite E)
  • 6.1m @ 1.49% Li2O from 82.2m (Pegmatite D)
  • 4.4m @ 1.43% Li2O from 52.6m (Pegmatite D)
  • 3.49m @ 1.59% Li2O from 67.96m (Pegmatite E)
  • 4.3m @ 1.15% Li2O from 19.2m (Pegmatite E)
  • 9.0m @ 1.02% Li2O from 38.0m (Pegmatite D)
  • 8.0m @ 1.09% Li2O from 53.9m (Pegmatite D)
  • 5.96m @ 1.02% Li2O from 57.27m (Pegmatite B)
  • 6.0m @ 1.05% Li2O from 17.0m (Pegmatite D)

The excellent diamond drilling results returned from Stage 2, in addition to the generation of potential southerly extensions to the deposits at Pegmatite B, D and F from the lithium-in-soil geochemical sampling work, indicate that spodumene mineralisation could extend much further both along strike and down dip at Step Aside.

An expanded third phase of drilling will target unexplored regions to the south of Pegmatite D and Pegmatite B, by testing potential extensions to these deposits undercover, outlined from the anomalous and cohesive lithium-in-soil surface soil sample geochemical results.

This phase of work will also include specific resource definition drilling, aimed at targeting infill and extension areas to the high grade spodumene mineralisation already defined from the first two phases of drilling.

The Phase 3 drilling program is set to commence in mid-2023.
